In early 1961, Screen Gems producer, William Dozier, was going to begin production on the weekly, half-hour show, set for the 1961 fall television season.
A party was held at the New York restaurant "21' for the contract signing, and shortly afterword, the series was cancelled.
In October 1961, after the show had not premiered on television, Joan said "After what happened to Barbara Stanwyck, June Allyson and Loretta Young, I doubt if the time is right."
Production on the series never resumed.
