THE CONCLUDING CHAPTER OF CRAWFORD
Scripts
"Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte"
The complete final draft (shooting script) of "Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte."

The film's original script was drafted on March 23rd, 1964, with the complete final draft completed on May 11th, 1964, with scene revisions made on May 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 26th and 29th (before principal photography began on June 1st, 1964).

The script received a very large revision following Joan's termination from the production on August 24th, 1964. I have highlighting in red the scenes revised following Joan's dismissal. These large script revisions were made on September 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 9th, 14th and 25th, 1964.
Note the majority of the scenes revised following Joan's dismissal was in relation to scenes involving the character of "Miriam." This is partly due to Olivia de Havilland requesting that the character be rewritten to her specifications upon accepting the role. Joan's version of "Miriam" wasn't the same as portrayed by de Havilland in the completed film.

The below script also contains several cut scenes involving the characters of "Miriam," "Drew," "Harry Willis," "Reporter Paul Merchand," "Miriam's Taxi Driver." "Jewel Mayhew" and "Sheriff Luke Standish."
